The NRC is an abbreviation you would most definitely come across when delving into the soundproofing of your office or living premises. It contributes to the overall agreeability and sound quality in a room.
Hopefully, this text will help you determine your NRC needs.
Note: It is important to say that NRC does not determine how much of the sounds will transfer to another room.
It is not the measurement of sound blocking, but rather a measurement that improves intelligibility in the room by reducing reverberation ad reflection.

There’s nothing as annoying as having to deal with noisy neighbors. Of course, you could always move, but what if it only gets worse at your new place?
A few years ago I moved houses and at first, I was excited. My joy was, however, shortlived.
It took me about a week to realize how huge of a mistake I had made. The noise from my neighbors was just unbearable. Seeing as I had just recently started working from home, I needed to find a solution.
I considered moving out, but I had just moved in and I still had a whole year on my lease contract. The only viable option, it seemed, was to find a way to block all the noise from the neighbors.
I have always loved DIY projects, so I got into this wholeheartedly. I had so much fun doing it and most of all, it solved the problem. I can now work peacefully, without worrying about all the noise from the neighbors.
Noisy neighbors can get on your nerves, especially after a hard day’s work and all you want is to relax. So get your toolbox out and try some of these things. You will love the peace and quiet that comes with it.

We were often waking up at night from the noises of loud barking and my child even started to get scared of this sound.
Naturally, we had to find the solution to this problem. We started looking here and there, we tried several different methods. Some of them worked, and some of them didn’t.
So, here are some of the fantastic solutions that helped me solve different soundproofing problems over the years

One of the good ways to get some quiet and a nice rest with your faulty doors is to install a sweep at the bottom of it. These sweeps are easy to put and have a few more benefits besides noise reduction itself.
Even though most of the people use it for improving heating efficiency by installing it on their front door, it is perfect if you have a 3-month-old screamer in the room next to yours. The thing is, my baby used to wake up every 4 hours until the age of one and that was driving us crazy.
My husband and I realized that we have to switch on the position of a guardian every few days so that the other one can get some rest. But boy, did she have some vocal cords. You could hear her on the next floor, let alone next room!
It was a true nightmare until we found out about door sweeps and that they can actually help a lot with noise reduction, and not only thermal isolation. And on top of that, they are very easy to install, no matter the type you are using.

Well, there is no pleasure in playing a game, and all you can hear is the sound of the console’s fan and the anxiety that it will soon go into the flames from overheating.

As soon as the winter season approaches, I cannot wait to snuggle up in bed with my favourite blanket, make myself a nice cup of hot tea and pick up a book or put on my favourite Netflix show. Most of you will likely agree with me that there is nothing better than a warm, cosy house on a freezing winter morning.
I personally prefer to use a fireplace to keep me warm during winter days, but some people do not have the luxury of owning a fireplace, so they use a furnace or an electric heater instead.
As you probably know, furnaces are usually located in a separate room, most likely in the basement, since they do not look particularly presentable with all the pipes and the additional equipment, so most people prefer to hide them away.
However, anyone who owns a furnace will agree that the noise coming from the furnace room can be quite annoying and can become unbearable over time. Despite the fact that the furnace is usually in the basement, the noise it emits still spreads throughout the house.
