Genius! Put a 5-cent coin in your vase and you’ll be surprised
Nothing brightens up a home like fresh-cut flowers, especially tulips in the springtime!
But the downside is, tulips don't last long once they're cut.
Luckily, I recently learned a trick that can make your tulips last much longer and keep them looking beautiful.
I found out about this trick from Piritta Hagman's Instagram.
All you need to do is place a nickel coin at the bottom of the vase where you'll put your tulips. Then, fill the vase with water and add the tulips – that's it!
Now your tulips will stay fresh and blooming for much longer.
It might sound strange, but there's actually a good reason for it.
Copper, which is found in the nickel coin, is a nutrient that flowers need to bloom. So, the copper in the coin helps feed the flowers and keeps them looking their best.
It's an easy trick that tulips really love!
