Pour salt on your broom at NIGHT…THIS will blow your mind!

To keep our house clean, we need to take care of the tools we use for cleaning, like our brooms, mops, vacuums, and rags.

In particular, the broom is a simple but important cleaning tool in any home.

It's used in almost every room to sweep up all kinds of messes, from paper to dust. But because of this, brooms can wear out quickly.

Luckily, here's a home trick to make sure your old broom stays looking like new!

Simple Home Hack That Keeps Broom Looking & Sweeping Like New

This trick uses two common kitchen items: vinegar and salt!

Vinegar's acidity is what makes it perfect for cleaning all kinds of messes. When you find something gross in your house, grab some vinegar, pour it on, and watch it clean up fast.

Vinegar can tackle soap scum, oily spots, sticky residue from stickers, and more.

This makes vinegar the ideal way to clean your broom because it can reach into tight spots between the bristles and wash away all the dirt.

Meanwhile, salt's ions help soak up dust and other tiny particle.

How to Freshen Up Your Brooms with Salt & Vinegar

Firstly, gather your supplies:

  • 1 cup of white vinegar
  • ½ cup of salt
  • A bucket or tub
  • Hot water

  1. Fill a bucket with hot water until the bristles of your broom are submerged. You can also use a tub for this.
  2. Add the vinegar and salt into the bucket of water.
  3. Place your broom into the solution and swirl it around a bit. Let it soak for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  4. After soaking, remove the broom and let it dry upright in your mop hanger or bathroom.
  5. Once dry, your broom is ready for another round of cleaning!
