Treadmills are something that every one of us is very familiar with.
Whether we have used it, or only seen it only on a TV program, we know what it is and how it works and, of course, how good it can be.

Of course, usual placement for a treadmill is a gym, but there are some of us who have a long way to get to the gym, or who have kids and would rather do the exercising at their own home.

Even though it may sound pointless to just walk on it, walking at an incline can help your health and overall activity.
Setting the incline to high or medium is just as effective as jogging.
Moreover, the impact noise will be reduced since you will not be hitting the treadmill with your feet that hard, and it will not be so unbearable to exercise on it anymore.
6. Try Out a Quiet Run
Once again, the main source of noise from your treadmill is yourself. The biggest portion of noise that is produced is the noise coming from your feet hitting the floor underneath them.
Since you want to make the noise lower, there is a thing you can try. And that is quiet running.
Now, quiet running sounds like sneaking or something, but I really never meant to say that you should skip or run on your tiptoes.
What I wanted to suggest was running at some reasonable speed, since the faster you run, the louder the treadmill gets.
Just try not to put your treadmill on the highest settings for some time, and see how that works for you.
This will reduce the impact and the noise with it.
Another thing that can make your quiet running more efficient is the height you lift your feet from your treadmill while you are running.
This might need a bit of practice, but it is still an exercise and it can even improve your cardio.
And running in some proper running shoes is surely something that can reduce the noise as well.
7. Using the Right Shoes
This one is quite similar to using the proper treadmill mat. If a treadmill needs a proper surface, so do you.
When looking to buy good running shoes, you should definitely search for the right ones for your type of feet.
Another thing that you should give a deeper look into when buying running shoes is that they should have some kind of sound absorbing materials on them.
For example, shock absorbing gel in shoes will not only make the noise coming from your treadmill lower, but it will serve your feet since it will reduce the impact.
